Research

Dr. Landau is Associate Research Scientist at the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute at the University of California, Berkeley. She is an investigator in the PET Imaging Core for the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) and has carried out studies on early biomarker and clinical changes in Alzheimer’s Disease. Her areas of expertise include multimodal biomarker relationships (amyloid and tau PET imaging, hypometabolism, cerebrospinal fluid, and brain volume) and longitudinal trajectories of cognitive and biomarker change throughout normal aging and disease. She is PI of the PET Core for the ADNI-Late Life Depression study and for the Department of Defense-ADNI study of aging and imaging biomarkers in Vietnam War Veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and/or PTSD. She received the 2018 Christopher Clark Award at the annual Human Amyloid Imaging meeting in Miami, Florida.
